TAX Fraud – A few things to remember

The IRS never calls taxpayers to collect money.
The only way the IRS could contact you is with a written letter through the mail.
The IRS will never call you up and offer to take $1,500 over the phone because you owe $12,000.
Share any correspondence with your accountant.
Police protection is limited unless they can trace the call while you’re talking to them.
The IRS does not send unsolicited emails asking for money.
Verify authenticity with your accountant before you act.
